About
Horse Training Made Fun and Easy
The Horse Sense and Cents™ idea was borne from a conviction that riders, no matter how inexperienced or seasoned they are, welcome help that is presented in a way that’s easy to understand. Horses do too.
It’s amazing how much easier it is to listen to others – and your horse – when you discover it’s OK to be wrong, admit it and seek out help to get it right. Of course, with age comes a recognition that you’re not as invincible as you thought you were (as years pass you tend to thud more than bounce when things go wrong), and that helps trigger the brain a bit more. Learning from stories or experiences others is a great way to illustrate how something worked for them with a particular horse – or didn’t. We do a lot of that here.
Many who catch the horse bug aren’t wealthy and capable of following the latest trend with all the gear to go with it. The books, blog and other Horse Sense and Cents resources strive to offer creative, productive, budget-conscious solutions for various equine challenges. Our contributors include equine specialists in various industries from around the globe. Let us know what you seek and we’ll try to answer your questions/concerns either as new book, a blog post or through the comment feature of this website. If we don’t have the knowledge you need, we’ll try to find people who do.
This is a community designed for you – the horse owner, lover, or professional who isn’t afraid to ask questions or seek help from others who have traveled the path before. We’ll offer useful information, timely feedback to your comments and questions, and a responsive approach to your ideas and suggestions.
We hope you come aboard and enjoy the ride!
